The Scaff Shop Features at The Chelsea Flower Show

Posted by Tom Pepper on

We've made it to the big time!

We're more than a little chuffed with ourselves to have made it as a supplier for The Chelsea Flower Show. We've been working hard developing The Scaff Shop this last year and it's great when this is recognised by such a well-known organisation.

Our boards were used to create part of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show Cop 26 Exhibition. This exhibition was inspired by the COP26 Climate Change Conference, and "demonstrates how our garden, plants and public spaces can play an integral part in protecting our planet and people". The boards were ideal for this as they are of course reclaimed wood and therefore a very sustainable product. The garden took visitors through four areas, each focusing on how a garden can be created which will be adapted to the various challenges that climate change will bring. Which bit did The Scaff Shop do?

In case you haven't already worked it out, the path running through the exhibition is made entirely from reclaimed scaffold boards, 258 in total. These were all sized, cut, and planed to the specifications provided to us. If you follow the link above you can see many more photos and can even use the interactive 3D tool to have a walk along them yourself (you'll be following in the footsteps of Monty Don)! There are also more photos and information on the design on the website page of the designers Balston Agius (see here).

What can The Scaff Shop do to help with your project?

We love being a part of projects like this. So if you have an idea in mind which involves a large quantity of scaffold boards then please don't hesitate to get in touch. We can discuss custom services to suit your exact requirements, so even if it's a little unusual, we'll be happy to offer a no obligation quote for it.
