Security
Our website uses the highest levels of security to ensure that your information is secure and protected against unauthorised use. We use a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) providing 256 bit encryption. When browsing or entering any information on our website, such as payment information details, you will notice a secure padlock icon will appear usually next to the browser website address bar (dependant on browser type). You will also see that the “http” in your browser address bar will change to “https” to show that our site is protected with an SSL certificate.
When you make a payment, sophisticated Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology encrypts your credit/debit card number and order information as it is sent which means than it cannot be read by anything other than the secure server receiving it.
By accessing, browsing or otherwise using our website, you confirm that you have read, understood and fully agree to this privacy policy.

Information Collection and Use:
We will not sell, share, or rent your personal information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. We collect information from our users at several different points on our website.
Registration:
To use some facilities on this website, a user must first complete a registration process. During registration a user is required to give their contact information (such as name and email address).
Orders:
We request information from the user on our order forms. Here a user must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fulfil customer’s orders. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with the user.
Cookies:
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer containing information about the user. Cookies are used throughout our sites for enhancement of the user experience. Some parts of our site may not work without cookies turned on, other parts will function as normal.
Log Files:
We use IP addresses to analyse trends, administer the site, track users’ movement, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.
Sharing:
We use the term “Partners” to include any partner company or third party who’s services we use for the purposes of processing or fulfilling your order, and maintaining and operating our website, including but not limited to third party apps used to add specific features and functions on the site. Also included are non-website, back-office partners and third parties which are used to facilitate the processing and fulfilment of your order, and to allow us to add to the user experience.
We will share aggregated demographic information with our partners. This is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual person.
We use outside shipping companies to ship orders, and a credit card processing company to bill users for goods and services. These companies do not retain, share, store or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purposes.
We may partner with another party to provide specific services. When the user orders through our website this will involve the sharing of names and other contact information that is necessary for the third party to provide these services. Links:
This web site contains links to other sites. Please be aware that The Scaff Shop is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. We encourage our users to be aware when they leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every web site that collects personally identifiable information. This privacy statement applies solely to information collected by The Scaff Shop.
Newsletter:
If a user wishes to subscribe to our newsletters, we ask for contact information such as name and email address.
New Account Registration:
We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Setting up an account on our site is however completely optional and you are welcome instead to submit an order as a “guest” should you prefer not to set up an account with a username and password.
Follow up emails:
We operate a “Your Basket Is Still Waiting For You” automated email system which will email you a reminder and quick access link to a basket which you filled on our site, but you did not go on to order. We can only do this if you have given your email address during the early part of the check-out stage, and if you have cookies turned on. We will send a maximum of two basket reminder emails but please do let us know if you do not wish to receive these, and we can cancel this at any time.
We also operate a Customer Feedback email. This is sent a set number of days after you ordered from us. A total of two emails are sent (one initial and one reminder). Please let us know if you do not wish to receive these. We may publish on our website or linked social media the information submitted in these feedback forms (such as feedback comments and photos) but will not link this to an identifiable part of your contact information. We tend to use first name and only the first letter of the surname, e.g. “Tom P” instead of the full name Tom Pepper.
Order Updates:
We will send you order updates by email. Customers are not able to un-subscribe from order updates as these form a necessary part of our communication with you in regards to the progress with the order you have placed with us. Most of our standard updates are sent by email, but we will occasionally call (if you have provided a phone number) if we need to query something with your order, such as a delivery address. This is to speed the processing of your order and reduce delays to you.
