Pallet Wood for Furniture, Cladding and DIY Projects

Pallet Wood for Furniture, Cladding and DIY Projects

Pallet wood is a great choice for creating a rustic, handmade look in your home, garden or commercial space. Whether you are building shelving, wall cladding, furniture features or decorative projects, our pallet wood offers a practical and characterful option for a wide range of uses.
At The Scaff Shop, we supply individual pallet wood boards in a range of finishes and quantities, from single boards for small DIY jobs through to larger bulk orders for commercial or trade projects.

Our pallet wood options

We offer pallet wood boards in 100mm width and 16mm thickness, with lengths available from 1ft to 16ft. We also sell these in sqmtr packs with free shipping included!

You can choose from:

  • New pallet wood
  • Kiln dried pallet wood

New pallet wood

Our standard new pallet wood has more natural character due to being air dried. This makes it a great option if you want a more rustic and varied appearance.

Kiln dried pallet wood

Kiln dried pallet wood offers a cleaner, more uniform finish. It is ideal for projects where you want a tidier and more consistent appearance.

Finish options

Our pallet wood is available in a range of finish options depending on the look you want to achieve:

  • Unsanded for a more raw and rustic finish
  • Sanded for a smoother surface
  • Special finishes for a more decorative and distinctive look
If you are unsure which option is right for your project, ordering a sample is a great place to start.

  • Wall cladding
  • Shelving
  • Feature walls
  • Furniture projects

FAQ — The Scaff Shop

We work exclusively with scaffold boards – both reclaimed and new – sourced from the scaffolding industry. Around 40% of our reclaimed boards come from our own scaffolding company (The Scaff Co.), and the rest from trusted external sources. All boards are carefully graded, inspected and prepared in our workshop based in Frome, before being transformed into furniture and shelving.

We also stock scaffolding accessories including scaffolding tubes, fittings, brackets and fixings to complement our boards and help you complete your project. We have a zero-waste policy – any offcuts or unusable pieces are turned into kindling and also donated to local schools.

Yes. Our furniture pieces like desks, shelves, chopping boards and bespoke items are handcrafted in our workshop by our team of skilled machinists and joiners (including our wood machinist with over 30 years' experience). Each piece is individually selected, cut, sanded and finished by hand to ensure quality and character.

Our scaffold boards themselves – whether reclaimed or new – go through a careful preparation process: we grade and inspect each board, remove metal bands, air-dry or kiln-dry them to the right moisture content, then prep them for sale or transformation into furniture. While we use machinery for cutting and planing, the selection, finishing and quality control are all done by hand.So while we're not carving everything with chisels, every product that leaves our workshop has been handled, checked and finished by our experienced team – not mass-produced on an assembly line.

Yes. You can absolutely customise this product! Simply leave a note to us as you checkout or use our custom size tooling in the product to get the exact measurement you need.

Choose the Size and Finish of Your product for a Perfect Fit.

We offer what we think is the perfect options for the humble scaffolding board. We wanted to keep it simple with a light / Medium / Dark theme as this will help suit the interior design choice for you.

Light = (Natural)

Medium = (Antique)

Dark = Jacobean Oak

We also offer a couple more options one being a no oil finish leaving you complete control for your project!

Yes! Our team has extensive experience in both the scaffolding industry and furniture making. If you need help planning a project, choosing the right boards, or figuring out sizes and finishes, just get in touch with your rough measurements or a photo of your space and we'll point you in the right direction.
