Please note that this product default is 225mm which is the standard size scaffolding board! Simply slide the ruler to the desired measurement for your product needed or type the measurement in the space provided.

We may specialise in reclaimed scaffold boards, but for some purposes a new one fits the bill better for some. For certain locations and purposes, a new board can give a more refined and cleaner look where a reclaimed one wouldn't.

Our new boards are completely unused.

We do not charge any extra to cut a board to a particular length. To make use of this service please add to your basket the next larger size of board to the size you require, for example if you would like a 55cm length board and an 82cm length board please add one 60cm board and one 90cm board.

We do charge for rip cuts to a particular width, at £1 per foot (30cm). For example, to rip a 300cm (10ft) board from 225mm wide to 180mm width, the cost would be £10 for this service. You can add this to your order by adding the Rip Cut product below - you will initially only be able to add 1 at £1, but when you go to your basket you can adjust the quantity accordingly (in the above example you would change the quantity to 10). Don't worry - if you choose too many or too few then we can always edit the order for you and credit/invoice for the balance.

You can then let us know the custom sizes you require at the basket stage. When you view your basket you should see an option to "Add instructions for seller" - please click on this and specify the required sizes. We'll see this note on your order and cut accordingly.

This product will ship approximately 2-7 business days after your order is placed.

FAQ — The Scaff Shop

To be honest this is a choice only you can answer.
There are pros and cons for either, new scaffold boards certainly have a place in the making world as they are a much cleaner timber with less abuse being had, which makes it easier for making furniture and getting a nice uniform look. you can use many different types of wood dyes and techniques to get a really cool piece of furniture out of these boards. Reclaimed boards certainly give you that rustic look that you just will not achieve with a new scaffolding board but not everyone is looking for that!

We offer new scaffolding boards in three main sizes:
Standard: 225mm wide x 38mm thick
Narrow: 100mm wide x 38mm thick
Chunky: 225mm wide x 63mm thick
Jointed: 440mm wide (two boards joined together)
All our new boards are BSEN rated/graded for safety standards and weigh approximately 1.2kg per foot. We can provide custom cutting to your exact requirements for any project size.

Our new scaffolding boards are uniform, clean, and consistent in appearance - perfect for furniture making and projects where you want a more refined look. Unlike our reclaimed boards which carry unique character marks from construction use, new boards have a fresh, consistent grain pattern and colour. They're ideal for kitchen worktops, dining tables, or any project where you want the rustic scaffold board aesthetic but with a cleaner, more uniform appearance.
