Reclaimed Rustic Deep Wooden Shelf Kit in our standard scaffold board, supplied with hanging brackets

This is our standard reclaimed scaffold board, turned in to a ready-made shelf kit. This means it's cut to size, finished in a select range of options, and with brackets included ("hanging" brackets in this instance), all boxed together. To see our range of other bracket/width options in our standard shelf kit, please click here.

The Deep Shelf Kit is wider than our Standard Shelf Kit, at 300mm width rather than 225mm. It's a jointed board, which is one where two boards have been joined together to create a wider, single board.

We offer three standard oil options, as well as three "special" options which feature our signature charring technique.

We use Danish Oil, a traditional oil which is perfect for bringing out the natural grain of the wood whilst leaving a durable, satin finish.

Standard Oil Options:
- Natural (light)
- Antique (medium)
- Jacobean Oak (dark)

Special Options:
- Flame: The board is machine sanded to give a clean surface and then lightly flamed with a blow torch to highlight the grain. We then a apply a natural colour danish oil to protect the wood.
- Charred: Fully charred using the Japanese "Shou Sugi Ban" technique of torching the wood with a blow torch to give a rich, darkened appearance. The wood is then meticulously scraped with a wire brush to remove the loose charred pine and reveal a beautiful contrast and texture. We then a apply a natural colour danish oil to protect the wood.
- Coloured: Charred as above, but with an additional coloured stain applied to give a vibrant finish, available in a number of different colours. We then a apply a natural colour danish oil to protect the wood. To choose a colour please add the "Charred - Coloured" item to your basket, then when you view your basket you will see a "Add instructions to seller" option. Please specify the colour here.
--- Available colours - Rustic Red, Midnight Blue, Amber, White Wash and more - please contact us to discuss specific colour request and we will be happy to help.

We generally recommend ordering a sample so that you can make sure your preferred oil option is right for you.

- Square: The corners are left square as on the original board, although are very slightly rounded in the sanding process. This is the default option (no extra charge).
- Rounded: Here we round the front corners off with a jigsaw, giving a lovely gentle curve at each end. There is a £5 charge for this service per shelf (i.e. both front corners rounded). To request this, please add the "rounded corners" option below. You will need to add the quantity to match the number of shelves ordered.
