New Scaffold Board - Narrow - 100mm width

Our New “Narrow” Scaffold Boards take the strength and reliability of a standard scaffold board and give it a slimmer, more refined profile. At 100mm wide and 38mm thick, these brand new boards are ideal when you want the look and feel of scaffold timber, but with a lighter, more contemporary finish.
Each board is made from new timber, with clean edges on both sides, making them perfect for joining together, creating patterns, or mixing with our standard-width boards.

New Scaffold Board - Narrow - 100mm width FAQ's

Our narrow boards are 100mm wide instead of the standard 225mm, but they keep the same 38mm thickness and strength.

They’re also brand new, so you get a cleaner, more consistent look compared to reclaimed boards. The slim width makes them ideal for modern shelving, cladding and finer detail work.

Yes. Even at 100mm wide, these boards are still 38mm thick scaffold-grade timber, so they’re very strong when properly supported.
For shelving:
Use suitable brackets at sensible spacings
Avoid very long spans with no support
Consider what you’ll be storing (books and heavy items need more support than light décor)
If you’re unsure about spacing or load, feel free to email us with your project details.

Absolutely. One of the big advantages of this range is the clean, square edges on both sides, which makes them ideal for joining side-by-side.
Customers often:
Join multiple boards to create wider shelves or tops
Use them for cladding, panelling or feature walls
Mix them with standard-width boards for unique patterns
For furniture or worktops, we recommend using appropriate fixings/adhesives and supports, or speaking to a joiner if you’re unsure. Or email us directly at hello@thescaffshop.com

These are new softwood boards, so they can be used outdoors, but they will need:
A suitable outdoor wood treatment (oil, stain or preservative)
Ongoing maintenance over time, as with any outdoor timber
If you’re planning a fully outdoor project, let us know what you’re building and we can advise on the best board/finish choice.
