Scaffold Board Shelf Kits

This is where we offer a selection of scaffold board shelf kits in several different widths, thicknesses and lengths, and with a range of finishes including our popular oiled or flamed finishes. We also offer different bracket options including the classic industrial-style hanging and propped style brackets, or a modern floating bracket.

"Full Scaff" Shelf Kit
- This is a standard board (225mm width), available in 13 lengths, seven finishes, and three bracket options (custom finishes available - please enquire!).

"Radiator" Shelf Kit
- This is our standard board but ripped down to three-quarter width at 165mm.
Length, finish and bracket options available as above.

"Narrow" Shelf Kit
- This is our standard board but ripped down to half width at 110mm.
Length, finish and bracket options available as above.

"Chunky" Shelf Kits
- This is a thicker than standard board, at 63mm thickness as opposed to 38mm. Available in "Full Scaff" width, with a "Radiator" and "Narrow"

"Deep" Shelf Kits
- This is two of our standard boards, jointed together, to create a 300mm width shelf.

The scaffold board at full length can hold up to 150KG spread evenly, so using it for books, ornaments, and other items shouldn't be an issue.

What is the best finish for a scaffold board shelf? What is the best finish for a scaffold board shelf?

At The Scaff Shop we're big fans of danish oil. It's fairly cheap, very easy to apply with just a brush or cloth, and it penetrates very deep into the wood. The deeper penetration results in a very durable finish which is resistant to scuffs and other physical damage.
