How much do we charge to ship items to you?
There's not a simple answer to this, but we have tried to make our shipping rates as clear and fair as possible. For an overview of all our shipping rates and shipping terms you may wish to visit our Delivery page. Otherwise, please read on and we'll explain our rates here too.
Many items ship for free!
We're shoppers too, and we know that free shipping makes things simple and easy to calculate when you want to quickly shop online for something. The last thing you want to have to do is go all the way through to check out, or even to have to set up an account, just to find that the shipping of an item makes it no longer a viable purchase. That's why we offer free shipping on many of our product ranges. This includes all tables and benches, all hairpin legs, all box section legs, and also our DIY Shelf Kit. So you can add any of these to your basket and know that we'll cover the shipping cost for you.
For some items it's a little trickier....
For some of our items it's not quite so easy to do this, and we have to charge shipping based on a variety of factors. This is usually when the shipping cost for an item is proportionally large compared to the item cost. For example, our 13ft unsanded scaffold boards cost just £14.89 to buy, but the cost to us to ship them is around £25. If we "absorbed" this cost in to the item price we would have to price the item at around £40, however because a saving on shipping can be made when multiples are shipped together, this would mean the pricing in that case would not pass this saving on to you. So for these items it's best to have as low an item price as possible, and then charge a fair shipping charge on them.
What's the quickest way of finding out the shipping price for my basket of goods?
The quickest way to do this is to add the items you're interested in to your basket, then view the basket. You should then see an option to "Get shipping estimates", where you'll be prompted to enter your post code and then click "Calculate shipping". This should give you the cheapest available shipping rate we can offer for your area.
If you would like more detailed shipping rates then you will need to start the check out process until you get to the delivery stage. Alternatively you can pop us an email and let us know the item(s) you're interested in, along with your post code, and we will be more than happy to advise you on the shipping options available
If you're local, why not collect!
We offer local collection of items from our warehouse in Frome to all our customers. So if you're local to us (or are not so local but fancy a road trip!) then please feel free to choose this option at check out. We'll then let you know as soon as the items are available and ask that you book in a day and approximate time with us to collect the order.
