I can finally spill the beans...
I've been wanting to blog about this one for ages - we're moving premises!
The Scaff Shop started about a year and a half ago now, and little did we know quite how much demand there would be for reclaimed scaffold boards. We held out at our little unit on Commerce Park for as long as we could, but we've finally outgrown it. We were super lucky to secure a lease on the iconic factory over at Wallbridge Mills in Frome, and we're very excited to be getting moved in here.
The factory is a great location for The Scaff Shop - it's much bigger so we have plenty of space to expand in to for stock and a snazzy showroom, and it's nice and quirky, just like Jack himself.
The best part is that when anyone asks for directions we can just tell them to look out for the massive chimney. Jack says he wants to scaffold and clean up the whole chimney at some point, as well as put a big sign up the top, and I'm not sure if he's joking...
It's still a work in progress...
We're busy building offices and racking out the new warehouse, so for any of you that visit please do bear with us! Our offices are half built (see below) but it won't be long until we have a fully functioning operation here. Jack assures us we'll have office walls by Christmas, but as we all know that's getting bloody close and to be honest I also have a range of much more exciting things on my Christmas list than walls.
What does it mean for our customers
As of Monday the 13th, we'll be asking our customers to visit this address for appointments and collections, instead of our old one on Commerce Park, unless advised otherwise. The new address is as follows:
Unit 6 Wallbridge Mills
Frome
Somerset
BA11 5JZ
We always ask that customers make an appointment before visiting so please do continue to do that.
Exciting times ahead
The bigger space means we'll be able to offer so much more to our customers. We're already working on a fancy showroom, which will display all sorts of different scaffold board and pallet designs, and we also now have more space to increase our range of reclaimed timbers and products.
As always, keep an eye on our blog to be the first to know about anything new we have to offer!
